LHES Pine Lasses Wrap Up Season with State Tournament Trip

The LHES girls basketball team celebrated the end of a stellar season last week, which culminated in a strong showing in their first state tournament game in eight years.
Our sharp shooters were cheered on by family, friends and the LHES boys team in the MIL Division II second place game on Feb. 7, when they clinched a spot in the state championship tournament with a 42-33 win against Seabury Hall.
The Pine Lasses had a ball as they jetted to Oahu on the morning of Feb. 10 to face OIA runner-up Castle. Though the Knights moved on to the next round with a 65-28 win against Lanai, the Pine Lasses defeated Damien, but fell short to Molokai, finishing 8th overall in the state.
Congratulations, Pine Lasses! Here’s to another state championship run next year!
