Lanai Students Honored for Earning Dual Credits

The dual credit program at the University of Hawaii-Maui College has given lots of LHES seniors the opportunity to get a jump-start on college. Dual credit courses earn both high school and college credits, helping to fulfill core university requirements, usually in English or math.
Enrolling in college courses and completing college credits while still in high school is a notable accomplishment, especially since many students participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities.
Members of LHES’ class of 2017 and class of 2018 were honored for completing dual-enrollment credits at the Lanai Education Center Recognition Reception on Friday, May 11.
