2019 Lanai Senior Christmas Lunch Now Seeking Volunteers and Donations

The annual Senior Christmas Lunch makes the holiday season merrier for many kupuna on Lanai. Held on Christmas Day every year, the lunch at the Senior Center includes hot meals, gift bags, fellowship and fun. For elderly unable to leave their home, a home-cooked meal can be delivered.

The lunch is hosted by the churches of Lanai and supported by local organizations and individuals who donate time, talents, money, gifts and food. Thanks to the help of many hands and donations, the lunch is free and open to everyone in the community, not just seniors in need.

The success of the Senior Christmas Lunch depends on the generosity of our community. Please consider helping out this year by cooking a dish or volunteering your time and talents to spread a little holiday cheer.

If you would like to volunteer, donate items for senior gift bags, make a financial contribution or know a senior who needs home delivery, please contact 2019 resource coordinator Cindy Sagawa at 808-215-1006 or at lanaiseniorchristmaslunch@hotmail.com by December 5.
