2020 Virtual Voter Forum-Maui County Council, LANA`I Seat

For the first time since 1959, Lanai will be represented by someone other than a Hokama or Kaho`ohalahala.

Candidates Alberta DeJetley, Gabriel “Gabe” Johnson and Matthew “Matt” Mano will take questions from LSG, Lanai residents and other voters.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions, only the candidates and the LSG board will be in attendance. We’ll live stream the event on Facebook. Candidates will receive pre-selected questions beforehand then receive questions from residents and the general public can submit via the following Google link:

Community questions collected on this form will be randomly selected and asked LIVE at the forum. The deadline to submit questions is July 22, 2020 8pm.

If you are unable to watch it live, the video will be posted to LSG’s Facebook page for later viewing.

This event is pending a partnership with Akaku for either a live broadcast or a taping to be viewed later.

Candidates will give an opening and closing statement with a variety of questions sandwiched in between. Some of the questions will be candidate-specific while others will be asked of all three candidates.

We acknowledge that Election ballots have been mailed. However, BEFORE you mail in your ballot by Aug, 3rd, 2020 we encourage you to please watch the forum as it provides an opportunity for our community to ask questions and learn valuable insights about each candidate.
