Assistance Programs

Lanai Federal Credit Union Emergency Relief Fund Program

The Emergency Relief Fund Program will assist qualified members in need, due to a layoff, reduction in hours or loss of income, by providing a one-time financial support of $250, to be used towards essential food and grocery needs.  Applications are open until October 31, 2020 and may end at any time if allocated funds are exhausted.  For more details, please visit: Emergency Relief Fund Program

Small Business Relief Program

The new Kokua Maui County Small Business Recovery & Relief Fund utilizes CARES Act funds to help local small businesses recover and survive impacts from COVID-19. The fund covers reimbursable business expenses limited to rent/lease payments, utility payments and COVID-19-related safety precautions at the place of business. The maximum award for small businesses is $7,500.

Kokua Maui County Small Business Recovery & Relief Fund applications will be available starting August 3, 2020 until October 31, 2020, based on availability of funds.

Hawaii Emergency Laulima Partnership (HELP)

HELP provides financial assistance for Maui County residents to pay for essential needs due to a layoff, reduction in hours or loss of income related to COVID-19. Essential needs include food, personal hygiene, household basics (cleaning products, paper goods, etc.), over the counter medicine, rent, mortgage, utility payments, phone or internet service, car payments, and other essential needs.
