Bull’s Eye! Lanai Archery Tournament Raises $4,000

Lanai’s 3rd Annual “Shoot for Youth 2014 3D Archery Tournament” hit the bull’s eye by raising $4,333 for the Lanai Youth Center and showcasing the archery skills of 75 participants at the Lanai Pine Sporting Clays on Feb. 14.

The tournament wrapped up the evening with an awards ceremony, raffle prizes and potluck dinner at ILWU hall featuring locally- made venison dishes. Winners include:

Cubs Division (ages 9 and under)

Champion – Makenzie Aki – 8-year old (Lanai)
1st Runner up – Maximus Medeiros – 2-year old (Lanai)
2nd Runner up – Kysen Kanno – 5-year old (Lanai)

Youth Division (ages 10-15)

Champion – Harrison Ganir – 15-year old (Lanai)
1st Runner up – Brysen Seghorn – 11-year old (Lanai)
2nd Runner up – Chavez Sarme – 14-year old (Lanai)
3rd Runner up – DeLaurie Dameg – 11-year old (Lanai)

Makule Division (50+)

Champion – Jimmy Avilla (Lanai)
1st Runner up – Meilani Aki (Lanai)
2nd Runner up – Warren Osako (Lanai)

Traditional Division

Champion – James Spencer (Hawaii)
1st Runner up – William Doughty (Oahu)
